Professional and Personal
On paper, I hold a master’s degree in Social Work, a Clinical Social Worker licensure—which involved an additional 3,000 hours of study in Mental Health—and three Yoga teacher certifications: foundational yoga, chair-based yoga, and one focused on Social Justice.
* In practice, I’ve worked with many people in a variety of settings. My journey began in restaurants and bars, where I learned how to support both coworkers and customers. Listening became my strength, and I realized that people open up when they sense genuine attention. Being a natural listener has served me well, though it remains a skill I must continually nurture, especially when confronted with feedback that I may have caused hurt. Self-care and listening are both ongoing practices.
We are always practicing.
Approach to Self-Care
My hope is that this space mirrors the conversations I’ve had with clients and the many patients I’ve supported. Self-care is uniquely personal; what works for one may not work for another. Personal Strength, Mindfulness, and Emotional Awareness are some foundations of the work I do every day and we will keep that theme going here. My vision is for self-care to evolve into a community effort, where resources are shared and support is extended beyond ourselves. Sometimes a tool or suggestion isn’t the right fit for you, but it could be perfect for a friend or neighbor. Through my work, I’ve found joy in authentic connection, and I hope we can foster that here.
This space is for US. Real Self-Care can be difficult. It means showing up for your Mind and Body everyday and sometimes it means a glass of wine and a pedicure at the spa. It’s usually going to involve making tough or scary choices. I’m glad we get be on this journey together.

Starting Out
Reinvention is not my game; we aren’t doing research here. What we will do is pull from what’s out there. A great place to start is already developed and widely used 7 Pillars or Self-Care model. This roadmap gets us moving in the right direction toward finding a realistic self-care plan. Visit the 7 Pillars Page for more information on this model and make sure to check out IFS’s webpage to get more resources right away.
EEK! I’m so excited to work with you.
